Honesty is the Best Policy
When filling out your condition report, it is crucial to be as accurate as possible. Disclose any scratches, dents, interior stains, or mechanical issues upfront. Verified dealers base their offers on this report. If they discover undisclosed damage during the final inspection, they have the right to adjust their offer or cancel the deal entirely.
Taking Great Photos
High-quality photos significantly increase dealer confidence, which translates to higher bids.
- Lighting: Take photos outside during the day, preferably in the morning or late afternoon to avoid harsh shadows.
- Angles: Include wide shots of all four corners of the exterior.
- Interior: Photograph the front seats, rear seats, dashboard, and trunk.
- Details: Take close-up shots of the odometer, the tires, and any damage you disclosed.
Highlighting EV Features
Make sure to photograph any included charging cables, upgraded wheels, or software packages (like Tesla's Full Self-Driving capability). If your EV has a battery health report screen, snap a picture of that too!
